On April 4, 1984, Confindustria Marmomacchine was founded in Milan with the aim of establishing an organization that could welcome and support “companiesproducing marble, granite or related materials and the machinery, equipment, complements and accessories for their processing,” as stated in the first Bylaws. Forty years later, the association, faithful to the mission of the time, which is more relevant today than ever before, dedicates its daily commitment to serving the sector and the Companies that populate it, for which the vision and foresight of the man who affixed the first signature at the foot of that founding act, Angelo Marabelli, President of the Association from its founding until 2000, must be acknowledged. Along with him should also be remembered all the presidents who, assisted by all those who have gradually succeeded one another within the governance, have picked up the baton and guided the Association in these first forty years: Flavio Marabelli (President from 2000 to 2010); Carlo Zerlia (President from 2010 to 2014); Stefano Ghirardi (President from 2014 to 2018); Marco de Angelis (President from 2018 to 2022); and Federico Fraccaroli (current President).
